She's Crafty!

Today was a great day.  Olivia is having a halloween party tomorrow and we spent the evening doing mild prep work - the big stuff comes tomorrow!  So far here's my list:

Food:
Punch bowl with rubber glove ice
Cupcakes with little doll arms as toppers
Jello w/gummy worms (or black spiders if I find'em)
Mummy wraps (pigs in a blanket but you add eyes)
Bones and blood (breadsticks - curl the ends like bones - and sauce)
Witches Wands (Pretzel rods dipped in white chocolate and sprinkled)
Marshmallows for the spooky stories around the fire

That's plenty right?  I can't imagine they'll actually eat a bunch.

Games:
Toilet paper bowling (toilet paper and a small pumpkin)
Mummy Wrap (teams of kids wrap the adults - not sure if that's smart!)
Doughnuts on a string
Candy corn guessing game w/prize
Broomstick levitating
Story about Johnny and his body parts in a bag
Fire pit / Scary stories and a BIG SCARY SURPRISE at the end!  mwahahahaha

Here's a few images from tonights prep party!

We dipped the pretzels in melted white chocolate, used black sprinkles and orange icing.

We used this vinyl KEEP OUT as an added feature to the 50 or so bats and spiders we cut out. I then put the bats up on the wall and then flying on the ceiling.  We folded the wings forward for a really cool 3D effect!

Yes, that's my child playing dead in the tub - no that is not her blood. :)  It's vampire mouth blood we picked up at target.

I'd like to official thank all the Pinterest people for these fabulous ideas as well as all the spooky food ideas we'll work on tomorrow.

Happy Haunting!
